Royal Ladies of Country Music
Having recently completed a three-year engagement for their show, The Grand Ladies Of Country, at the God & Country Theatre in Branson, Missouri, Leona Williams and Ava Barber are bringing the music of that show to communities throughout the country. Audiences that saw or heard about their Branson shows will now be entertained in their own community by these country music legends singing the songs that made them famous.

Becky Hobbs, an accomplished performer, gifted songwriter and captivating entertainer who has performed in over 40 countries has been added to the show. Becky is the co-writer of Alabama’s hit, Angels Among Us, and she recorded a Top 10 duet with Moe Bandy, Let’s Get Over Them Together. Her critically acclaimed All Keyed Up album (MTM, then BMG), included the hits Jones On The Jukebox, Are There Any More Like You, and Do You Feel The Same Way Too. Becky’s co-written song You Are (recorded by Glen Campbell & Emmylou Harris) was nominated for a Grammy in the Best Country & Western Vocal Performance -Duet category.
Leona teamed up with Merle Haggard for a Top 10 duet, The Bull and the Beaver, and a duet album, Heart to Heart. While Leona and Merle were married, she wrote some of Merle’s biggest hits including You Take Me For Granted and Someday When Things Are Good. You can hear her harmony vocals on some of Merle’s hits such as The Way I Am, The Roots Of My Raising, and Big City.
Leona headlined the Fall Creek Opry Show in Branson, Missouri, and she performed with Country Music legend Jean Shepard for three years in the Grand Ladies of Country show. Leona was inducted into the Country Music Association of Texas Hall of Fame. She also received the prestigious George D. Hay Award, and she was inducted into the Missouri Country Music Hall of Fame.
Ava was the lead female country music vocalist on The Lawrence Welk Show for many years. She had two Top 20 singles on the country music charts: Waiting At The End Of Your Run and Bucket To The South; her albums have sold millions of copies worldwide. She has appeared on many popular television shows such as Nashville Now and Crook & Chase.
After appearing in the Smoky Mountain Hayride Show in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, Ava performed in Branson, Missouri at the Welk Theater. She has toured with the Stars of The Lawrence Welk Show, headlined at major Nevada hotels, and made several appearances at the Grand Ole Opry.
